Reception Schedule tab
An Evening That Flows from the First Toast to the Last Dance
Design a reception timeline that keeps energy high and guests delighted all night long.
Set your Reception Schedule start time, then you can add and describe each moment, such as cocktail hour, entrance, dinner, speeches, dances, and cake, to build a timeline in five-minute increments.
Always know what to do next for your wedding.
Easily reorder moments as you plan the perfect day, and your schedule recalculates times automatically. The reception time block is automatically added to your planner calendar.
Email the schedule to your DJ, caterer, or coordinator, or print right from the page.
Seating plan
Design a seating arrangement that makes every guest feel perfectly placed. Start with your Guests list, then drag guests from Unassigned into table cards, move them between tables, or drop them back to unseat.
Set venue max capacity and guests per table, use Auto-assign for a first draft, then polish sensitive placements manually. Household-linked guests move together when possible, and the summary groups everyone by table with RSVP color cues.
Reception packing
Reception essentials need their own list. From items for the space to guest-book pens, this checklist gives you a great start on what to bring.
Reception schedule FAQ
- What if my reception runs over? Can I adjust times on the fly?
- Yes. Change any moment's duration and every start and end time below it recalculates instantly. You can extend dinner by ten minutes or trim the cocktail hour without manually updating anything else.
- Can I share the final schedule with my DJ, caterer, and coordinator separately?
- The email button sends the full timeline in one message. You can add all your vendor contacts at once so everyone is working from exactly the same document, not different versions saved to different inboxes.
- Does the reception schedule connect to anything else in my dashboard?
- Yes. Adding the reception time block to your calendar drops it straight into your planner so it sits alongside your other wedding day appointments. If you use the Ceremony Schedule, both timelines live in the same file.
- What does the wedding seating chart tool include?
- The Seating Plan tab includes drag-and-drop assignment from an Unassigned list into table cards, Add table, Auto-assign unseated guests, Reset assignments, venue max capacity, and universal guests-per-table capacity. The summary groups guests by table and shows RSVP color state.
- How do I make a wedding seating chart when RSVPs change?
- Move guests between tables by drag and drop, or unseat and reseat quickly. Household-linked guests move together to keep connected parties at one table when possible. Capacity limits are applied during assignment.
- Can I share the seating plan with my venue or coordinator?
- Yes. Use the Seating Plan summary and print controls to share a clear table-by-table view with your venue and coordinator.
- How do I track everything I need to pack for the reception?
- The reception packing list lives in your planner with the same task rows, due dates, and partner assignments as your other checklists, and progress rolls up on the Dashboard.
