Know exactly where every wedding dollar goes

See what you've spent, what's still coming, and how much room you have left, without the end-of-month panic.

Every wedding dollar, accounted for.

You said yes to the florist. Then the photographer mentioned an engagement shoot add-on that sounded completely worth it. Then the caterer brought up the late-night snack station. Each decision made perfect sense in the moment. Then you looked up and you weren't totally sure where your budget stood.

Your Budget section gives you a running total of everything you've committed to, with what you estimated next to what you've actually paid. Log a deposit when you write the check. Add a note when the final invoice arrives. Filter by vendor or event so your rehearsal dinner tab never disappears into the same pile as your ceremony deposit. Your planner keeps the math so you don't have to.

How budget logging actually works in the planner

Each vendor category has its own budget section with pre-labeled line items: base cost, gratuity, taxes, and a notes field. You enter an estimate when you're in the comparison stage. When you finalize a vendor using the compare feature, those numbers flow directly into the matching budget lines without retyping.

As you make payments, you log the actual amount, date, and method next to the estimate. The planner shows you the difference on every line so you know immediately if a vendor is running over their quote. Filter the entire budget by event, vendor, or category to isolate the rehearsal dinner from the ceremony, or see everything from a single vendor in one view.

The totals at the top, used budget and remaining budget, update automatically. Before you say yes to the next upgrade, you have a real number in front of you, not a feeling.

Budget questions

Staying on track

How do I stay on budget when every vendor has an upgrade?
Log each payment as it happens, not at the end of the month. Your planner always shows how much of your budget you have used and how much is still available, so every new decision comes with a real number in front of you, not a rough mental estimate.
Will it tell me how much I still owe my vendors?
Yes. Your Vendors section shows payment status for each vendor: deposit paid, balance due, or fully paid. You always know who still has a check coming and when, so no due dates sneak up on you.

Logging payments

Do I have to enter everything manually?
When you finalize a vendor choice using the compare feature, those numbers flow directly into your Budget without re-entering or copy-pasting. For payments you make directly, log the actual amount, date, and payment method next to the estimate on the same line.
Can I filter my wedding budget by event or vendor?
Yes. Filter by event (ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, and more), by vendor name, or by category (catering, florals, photography, and so on). This lets you see a full cost breakdown for just the reception or just one vendor without losing the whole picture.
What is the difference between estimated and actual in the budget?
Each budget line has two columns: estimated from your quotes and comparison stage, and actual from real payments. They sit side by side so you can see which vendors are running over their quote and by exactly how much.
